Terms of Service

Last updated 10 August 2026

OpenIssues is a free issue and feedback tracker. These terms set out what you can expect from the service and what we expect from you.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By signing in to OpenIssues, submitting an issue through a submission link, or using the API or the MCP server, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the service.

The service is operated by Shortcodes Roman Szymański, VAT ID 8871788633, ul. Okrzei 28, 55-080 Kąty Wrocławskie, Poland.

2. What the service does

OpenIssues lets you collect bug reports and feedback through a shareable link, organise them into projects and workspaces, discuss them in comments, and move them through open, closed, and closed as not planned. The same operations are available over a REST API and over the Model Context Protocol, so an AI agent can work on your issues with your permissions.

3. Accounts and access

Accounts are passwordless. You sign in with a single-use link sent to your email address, or with a passkey you registered. Whoever controls your mailbox can therefore reach your account — keep it secure, and tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access to it.

One account belongs to one email address. Accounts are personal; do not share sign-in links with others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • submit or store content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that you have no right to share;
  • use submission links to send spam, mass automated content, or anything designed to overload the service;
  • attempt to reach data belonging to other users, workspaces or projects, or to bypass the authorisation checks that protect them;
  • probe, scan or stress the infrastructure, or circumvent the rate limits applied to public endpoints and the API.

Rate limits and anti-abuse measures are part of the service and may be enforced, and tightened where we need to keep the service available — with notice where that is practical.

5. Your content

Everything you write or upload stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, process it, and display it to the people authorised in the relevant project. We do not use your content for anything else.

If you run a workspace or share a submission link, you are responsible for what is collected through it, including making sure the people reporting to you know their submission reaches you. For that content you act as the data controller and OpenIssues processes it on your behalf, on your instructions; the Privacy Policy sets out that arrangement, and your use of the service on those terms constitutes the data processing agreement between us.

6. Availability and changes

The service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". There is no uptime guarantee, no support commitment, and no promised response time. Features may change, and the service may be suspended or discontinued; if we shut it down, we will give reasonable notice by email so you can copy your data out. Your issues, comments and projects are readable at any time through the REST API and over MCP, so an export never depends on us building one for you.

7. Email delivery

Sign-in links and notifications are sent through a third-party email provider. Delivery is best effort — spam filters, mailbox rules and provider outages are outside our control. If a sign-in link does not arrive, you can always request a new one.

8. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account settings. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that break these terms, that put the service or other users at risk, or where we are required to do so by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and given that the service is provided free of charge, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of OpenIssues. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intentional damage.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits or excludes the rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law — including the Polish Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act. Those rights always take precedence over this section.

You remain responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

10. Personal data

How we handle personal data — what we collect, why, and how long we keep it — is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Polish law. Where you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are announced by email to registered users.
